JESSE DRAKE HOVEY
SANTA BARBARA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL NOMINEE,
My journey has taken my from working as a sound technician on multiple movie sets to being a director of photography on a feature film. I have had the honor of being selected for the prestigious Santa Barbara International Film Festival for my short film, Telos: Repelling the Sierra Crest. Along the way I have also had the opportunity to produce for KSBY news channel and act as Director of Photography for multiple TV broadcasted commercials.
I don’t just shoot weddings to supplement my other career; I do this because I love helping couples get the wedding film they deserve. From meticulous preparation to skillfully capturing and editing an intimate, documentary-style film, you can be assured that my team and I will make a piece of art you will never forget.
I capture weddings with the diligence I would use filming my own marriage. I am currently engaged and getting married in April this year. I am ecstatic to deliver beautiful films I know will inspire couples for decades.
My Philosophy
My goal is to create timeless wedding films that reflect the simple beauty and intimacy of each wedding. I believe that a wedding film should serve as a cherished keepsake, preserving the essence of your love story without relying on overly flashy or trendy transitions. That is why I prioritize a filmic look in all of my work and prioritize elegant and tasteful music. From the quiet glances to the joyful celebrations, each moment is captured authentically, ensuring that your wedding film is one that you can revisit and cherish for years to come. My commitment is to tell your story with grace and simplicity.
